There are striking similarities between the food industry and the personal products industry: aggressive marketing of long-shelf-life products that are cheap to manufacture and use lots of inexpensive chemicals and fillers. At Gutbliss, we whip up our own personal care products at home and are continually amazed at the superior quality of these homemade products in terms of their ability to exfoliate and moisturize, and they smell and feel terrific. Try this 1-ingredient face wash, which uses a honey that contains beneficial bacteria to promote a balanced skin microbiome!
1 to 2 tsp Manuka honey
Moisten your face and hands with water. Gently rub the honey all over your face in a circular motion for 1 minute. Wash off with cold water (either with just your hands or with a clean, wet washcloth) to help your skin retain its moisture. This facial wash can be used daily. Simple ingredient, simple process, excellent results!
